Breakthrough at Ballina ...
It'd been a few years since I'd made the trek up the Pacific Hwy and it was great to see that not too much has changed
Gorgeous countryside, beautiful large rivers every 50-100kms and some of the most stunning beaches you would see anywhere.
Ps Graham Eggins and his team at the Ballina Baptist Church had put a lot of effort into promoting and preparing their congregation for this weekend of outreach. Originally the Sunday night was to be outdoors in the church car park, but the constant rain through March/early April made it safer to move indoors.
God moved powerfully across both meetings with some significant decisions made. One was an elderly aboriginal man who shared that his grandfather brought him up reciting the scriptures, but he needed to make his own public profession of faith.
Another was a young lady who shared, "My friend had been inviting me for ages to come church with her but I always found an excuse. This time, she said she would be round to pick me up and bring me. I couldn't really say no" God new what he was doing, and she walked forward to commit her life to Christ at the end of the evening meeting.
Ps Graham Eggins shared, "Many lives have been changed as people had the chance to declare their faith publicly. There were public responses both morning and night." He continued, "We feel we've have met two new ministry friends in Doug and Amanda Macfarlane. They were used by God to encourage us all as a church in our call to persevere in our mission!"
God was indeed faithfuland answered our prayers.
Amanda and I took the opportunity for a day at stunning Byron Bay before our journey home, Awesome! Can't wait to return!
Your brother & friend,
